Introduction

AI is moving fast through the insurance sector. Pricing, underwriting, claims, fraud detection, customer service. Every new application brings opportunity, and a new layer of risk to govern.

Insurers already have decades of discipline in model risk management. The real question is how to extend that same rigor to AI, so new risks are governed with the frameworks you already trust rather than bolted on separately. Regulation follows from there: when your risk management is sound, EU AI Act compliance becomes an outcome instead of a separate project.

This roundtable brings risk and model validation leaders from across the insurance sector into one room to compare notes, share what is working, and map a practical path from AI policy to day-to-day governance.

What we will explore together

Where the sector stands

We build a shared, honest picture of how mature AI model risk management and AI policy really are across insurance today.

One framework, not five

We bring AI-specific risks such as data fairness, ethical questions and model drift together with your existing data, IT and model risk policies into a single, workable framework.

From inventory to oversight

We make it practical: how to inventorise your AI use cases, monitor them, and govern them across the full lifecycle.

How regulation maps to your framework

We start from the risk framework you already run, then look at how the EU AI Act's concrete requirements line up with the model governance you have in place.

Who should attend

This roundtable is designed for insurers, and for the leaders who own model and AI risk within them:

CFRO Head of (Group) Risk Management Head of Model Validation Owner of MRM and model validation

Seats are deliberately limited to keep the discussion focused and candid.
