Senior Generative AI Engineer

We are seeking a Senior generative AI Engineer to join our growing team as we integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into our SaaS product. In this role, you will play a key part in embedding AI assistants powered by LLM technologies into our platform, enabling smarter user workflows and enhancing user experience.

As our AI integration expert, you’ll be responsible for connecting the dots between our backend systems, frontend interfaces, and the external AI provider. You’ll help shape the way our product leverages AI, ensuring that the assistants seamlessly interacts with both structured and unstructured data to provide valuable insights and support.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work alongside engineers, business stakeholders, and DevOps to ensure the successful integration of AI into our product, while keeping performance, security, and user experience top of mind.

• AI Integration & Orchestration: Own the LLM-powered AI assistants that are integrated into our SaaS product. Work closely with backend/frontend developers to ensure seamless functionality, calling appropriate APIs, managing data flow, and optimizing performance.
  
  
• Prompting & Context Management: Understand and craft prompt templates to feed data/context effectively into the AI, ensuring behavior aligns with business goals. Work on context injection strategies for applications like RAG, and recognize the impact of different approaches on output. Understand how to adapt these when switching to other LLMs. Support our customers to power our AI assistants through their approved LLM provider.
  
  
• Collaboration & Communication: Work in a cross-functional team of engineers, business representatives, and DevOps experts. Collaborate closely with backend and frontend teams to integrate AI features.
  
  
• Security Awareness: Be mindful of multitenant security, ensuring that the AI assistant only has access to data it is authorized to interact with (following existing RBAC systems).
  
  
• Continuous Improvement & Learning: Stay up to date with emerging trends in AI, particularly in the LLM domain, to advise on potential improvements to our product.

• Strong knowledge of LLM technologies, prompt engineering, and API integration.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, Langraph, Langsmith or similar LLM integration frameworks.
• Experience working with backend systems, preferably in a SaaS context, and understanding of SQL databases.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and balance business goals with technical execution.
• Understanding of multitenant environments, RBAC, and how they apply to AI integration.
• DevOps familiarity (e.g., CI/CD, pipelines, deployment best practices) but not a core requirement.

• Experience with AI governance
• Experience with RAG frameworks and contextual AI assistants.
• Familiarity with data privacy, anonymization, and security considerations in AI.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a user-centric approach (understanding how AI impacts user workflows and performance)
