In our second webinar session, we’re excited to welcome Kelly Thompson Cochran, Deputy Director at FinRegLab. Kelly is an innovation center that tests new technologies and data to inform public policy and drive the financial sector toward a responsible and inclusive financial marketplace. Prior to joining FinRegLab, Kelly worked at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She has authored numerous articles about explainability in machine learning, often in the context of credit underwriting. She holds a degree of Doctor of Law from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Together with CEO of Yields, Jos Gheerardyn, they will talk about explainability in machine learning. They will not only focus on a few of the mathematical challenges related to this topic, but also talk about how to communicate about AI-generated decisions with non-technical people who are impacted by these algorithms.
