Founders

Jos Gheerardyn

Jos Gheerardyn is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yields. Prior to his current role, he worked as both a manager and an analyst in the field of quantitative finance. With nearly 20 years of experience, he has worked with leading international investment banks and start-up companies. Jos is the author of multiple patents that apply quantitative risk management techniques to the energy balancing market. Jos holds a PhD in superstring theory from the University of Leuven.

Sebastien Viguie

Sebastien is the co-founder and VP AI Office of Yields. With a rich background spanning over 15 years as a front-end quantitative analyst for esteemed international investment banks, Sebastien brings invaluable expertise in fixed income derivatives and valuation adjustments to the table. Prior to venturing into the world of Yields, he earned his MSc degree in financial mathematics from Stanford University, demonstrating his profound passion for applied mathematics and engineering techniques.

Michel Akkermans

Michel Akkermans is the executive chairman of Yields and a notable figure in the technology and finance industries. A serial entrepreneur, private investor, advisor, and board member, he serves on the boards of both public and private companies as well as private equity funds. Michel founded FICS, a leading software provider in the field of online banking and regulatory financial reporting, where he was Chairman and CEO. He also co-founded Clear2Pay, an innovative finance technology company that focuses on delivering global solutions for secure and efficient payments, where he served as Chairman and CEO. Michel holds an M.Sc. in electronic engineering and computer sciences along with a postgraduate degree in economics & finance from the University of Leuven.

David Eschwe – Strategic Advisor

David leads the Advanced Analytics & AI Tribe at Raiffeisen Bank International, specializing in the integration of machine learning and generative AI to drive business growth. His profound understanding of risk management, coupled with his prowess in mathematics and statistics, paves the way for cutting-edge AI innovations.
