Project Manager / Implementation consultant

The Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Customer Success team, where you will play a key role in ensuring successful software implementations for clients in the financial sector. In this role, you will not only manage the delivery of projects within agreed timelines and budgets but also take a hands-on approach to configure our solution, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process.

You will collaborate closely with technical teams, taking ownership of the project management role to ensure seamless communication between internal and external stakeholders. You’ll oversee the deployment and integration of the software, ensuring all technical aspects are delivered smoothly. On the business side, you’ll work directly with users to understand their requirements and translate these into actionable configurations within the software, ensuring that their needs are fully met.

Location: Hybrid (Antwerp, client location and work from home) 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full project lifecycle from initiation to go-live for software implementation projects, managing both technical and business aspects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with internal teams (project team, product team, IS team) to ensure timely and quality delivery of the solution. 
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk management and milestones.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or disruptions
  • Manage project documentation, including status reports, budgets and client communications
  • Facilitate project meetings including kick-offs, status meetings and steering committees
  • Work with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables and expectations
  • Actively participate in hands-on configuration of our software solution, providing assistance in UAT and contributing to internal and customer-facing documentation

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in client-facing software implementation or IT projects
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in implementing software applications (e.g. BPM software, ECM software and/or RPA technologies) as an IT Business Analyst/IT consultant/ IT System Analyst
  • Bachelor or Master in computer science, information technology, science, engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of workflow systems and their application to business process improvement (for example UML swimlanes, systems used by multiple departments in large organizations, trade/confirmation/payment flows in financial institutions)
  • Hands-on experience in database and SQL is a plus
  • Comfortable with software architecture and integration.
  • Experience working with financial institutions is a plus
  • Experience in model risk management, model development/ model validation is a plus 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to quickly adapt to changing requirements
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
  • Fluency in English
